There’s a lot of things that design can do – it can make our lives easier through improving functionality; it can make our lives more enjoyable through beauty and aesthetics; and it can create and reinforce identity of a person, of a community or of a country. But, as we’ll discuss in this episode, it can do all of that and also empower and uplift people – specifically, in this case, using design and craft as a tool for the advancement of women in the United Arab Emirates.
