On Wednesday 22 July from 12:00 – 14:00, White City Place hosted the Big Community Lunch, turning the Green into a community dining venue. 

Businesses, members of Hammersmith & Fulham council, and local community representatives gathered to meet their neighbours, sample dishes from the onsite restaurants and celebrate the diverse community that White City is known for.

Local music store Next Door Records soundtracked the lunch, spotlighting emerging artist GIYA who played a set of acoustic covers.

With 100 spots available, attendees sampled a series of plates from an array of White City Place’s restaurants. Dibs provided their signature salads and warm focaccias, BloomsYard served up wood-fired pizzas, fresh falafel platters and zesty lemon chicken salads, The Athenian offered charred chicken gyros and golden halloumi wraps accompanied by oregano fries, and Filishack rounded things off with their popular Filipino chicken inasal and crispy tofu rice bowls.

The Big Lunch was a resounding success, celebrating White City Place’s culinary talent and bringing the wider community together for a memorable afternoon.
