White City Place was delighted to host the Bassuah Legacy Foundation for an Assertiveness Workshop earlier this month, supporting single parent families within the local community. The workshop provided practical skills and encouragement to single parents navigating the challenges of raising their children independently.
Led by the dedicated team at the Bassuah Legacy Foundation, the workshop guided participants through a series of interactive activities designed to build confidence and communication skills. Attendees engaged in role-playing scenarios, group discussions, and individual exercises, all aimed at empowering them to assert their needs and advocate effectively.
Participants finished the workshop feeling confident and supported. One attendee shared, "I loved the training. Hearing others express their insecurities made me feel like I'm not alone. By the end of the session, I felt more confident knowing that assertiveness is a journey of self-discovery. The more I understand what I want, the better I can assertively say no to what I don't want. Thank you for this great session, BLF."
Another participant commented, "I feel valued and cared for by the organization for providing us with such training. I have learned a lot, and now I can practice giving assertive responses in real-life situations politely."
