Jack Tizard School is a local day school for pupils aged 2-19 years with a range of severe learning difficulties (SLD) including profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). White City Place and Novartis Pharmaceuticals have given their older students a wonderful opportunity to take part in various work experience roles. A group of 10 students have attended every Thursday morning working for a couple of hours followed by a game of table football in the Hub when their work is complete! The students have enjoyed working with different teams including cleaning, M&E, security, vertical cleaning, ground maintenance and reception.
One of the main goals of the school is to enable each pupil to develop his or her full potential and the opportunities and experiences that White City Place and Novartis have provided the students, have allowed its students to achieve this.

“The progress we have seen our students make over the weeks is astounding and we are so proud of them all. We have seen an increase in confidence, development of interaction with non-familiar adults, enjoyment when out and about in the community and learning new skills. We are so grateful for everything we receive from White City Place and feel very lucky to be part of such a wonderful and supportive community. Thank you from us all at Jack Tizard School.”
