The White City Place community brought in their pre-loved clothes last Monday to be mended and upcycled, giving each item a new lease of life. In collaboration with Hammersmith and Fulham Climate Action, the free session was led by local sewing pro Marisol Cordoba from La Modista.

The Westworks hosted the group where they explored creative ways to repair clothing, learning new skills, expanding their wardrobes instead of shrinking their wallets.

Pre-loved items with wear and tear were patched, hemmed and embroidered to give them a few years of extra use. The group left feeling confident having learnt La Modista’s craft, saying “Repair it, don’t ditch it!”
