White City Place was delighted to host the Hammersmith & Fulham Writer's Festival and the WILDE Foundation last week. This event celebrates the transformative power of literature, spotlighting contributions female authors of colour, indie authors, publishers, and book lovers.

This year’s line up featured an impressive array of talent, including Lisa Bent, Njambi McGrath, Kelechi Okafor, Candice Brathwaite, Jendella Benson, Tina Andrews, Olamide Awonubi, Laila Rafi, JJ Bola, Stella Oni, Magdalene Abraha FRSA, Abiodun Abdul, and George the Poet. The festival's program was packed with engaging activities such as author talks, panel debates, open mic sessions, and writing workshops.

The festival not only celebrated the art of writing but also inspired attendees to explore their own creative potential. Attendees had the unique opportunity to pitch their ideas to literary agents and participate in a short story and poetry competition prior to the event. All attendees left feeling inspired and eager to build upon their literary skills.
