We recently hosted Positivi-Tees in the Terrace Café in the Westworks building for an afternoon of artistic fun and more importantly breaking down barriers for children to address address inequalities within communities that contribute to poor mental health/well-being.

Hosted by local teacher Henry Mensah, with Positivi-Tees, children design, create and screen print slogans with motivational affirmations on T-shirts. It is a cross-curricular learning opportunity designed to boost positive outlooks and healthy attitudes through screen printing. They develop the skill of screen printing (a KS2 requirement) and encourage healthy discussions concerning mental health and child well-being, which is also a statutory requirement of health education.
