Paul Institute

LONDON, 14 NOVEMBER 2017: Jai Paul, A.K. Paul and Muz Azar have found a physical home for the Paul Institute by signing terms with Stanhope, Mitsui Fudosan and AIMCo for the Rotunda at White City Place.

Located at the site of the former BBC Media Village in London’s White City, the circular Rotunda is a self-contained annex spread across two floors which used to house a BBC discotheque for staff. It will now be transformed into 3,000 sq ft of creative space for the Paul Institute to occupy.

The Paul Institute is a growing collective of musicians, artists and technologists which will support and nurture new British music talent. More detail is set to emerge about the project in the coming weeks.

Co-founder of the Paul Institute, Muz Azar, said: “West London is the place where it all started for us and we can’t think of a more suitable place than the Rotunda to call our new home.”

White City Place is a new business district covering 17 acres in regenerated White City. Totalling 900,000 sq ft of office accommodation, it is designed for the modern creative business. First tenants confirmed include YOOX Net-A-Porter, The Royal College of Art, Huckletree and ITV, which joins BBC Digital within the now reopened, remodelled and renovated business hub.

David Camp, chief executive of Stanhope, said: “The Paul Institute is an immensely creative enterprise and will perfectly complement the mix of companies already moving in to White City Place. We’re proud to support emerging British music talent by hosting the Paul Institute in White City and we look forward to watching this exciting initiative grow.”

White City Place was the original home of the Franco-British Exhibition of 1908, which created a vast complex of white pavilions and pleasure parks in Wood Lane and which gave the area its name of 'White City'. The site then provided the home for the 1908 Olympics stadium, the first Olympic Games to be held in the UK.

White City Place is a joint venture between Stanhope, Mitsui Fudosan and AIMCo. Further details about the Paul Institute to be announced in due course. Sign up to
