Constructing The Next Generation With Construction Youth Trust

White City Place was delighted to welcome the Construction Youth Trust, partner of the Stanhope Foundation, for their Work Experience World of Work programme. This exciting event gave Year 10 students from Hammersmith Academy the opportunity to try out six key career roles: Architect, Design Manager, Engineer, Project Manager, Marketing Manager, and Site Manager.

During the programme, teams of students worked together to develop a unique project design based on a brief from a real-life construction client. Each day focused on tasks specific to their chosen career roles, giving them hands-on experience and valuable insights. The teams collaborated to discuss and refine their project ideas, ensuring every detail was thoughtfully planned and executed.

The programme mimicked the real-world experience of working in construction and the built environment. Industry volunteers were on hand to mentor the students, offering invaluable advice, constructive feedback, and an insider's perspective on their projects.

By the end of the week, students presented their final project designs, striving to be the winning team. White City Place was proud to support this initiative, helping to nurture the next generation of construction professionals.
